FAO, UNISDR project grants to support Dgroups improvements

During 2016, the Dgroups Foundation could count on additional financial support from FAO and UNISDR, through two separate project grants. FAO is a long standing partner in Dgroups since the early days of the platform, back in 2002-2004. For FAO, Dgroups is an established tool for communication, collaboration and networking in teams and projects, and with external stakeholders and partners. Between end 2015 and beginning 2016, three new organizations have joined the Dgroups Foundation: IDS and UNISDR as Full Dgroups Partners; Savana Signature as Associate Partner. With two new partners joining during the year,  at the end of 2105 the Dgroups Partnership counts 24 member organizations and it is stronger at the end of 2015 than at the beginning of the year. The recently published Activities Report 2015 and Plan 2016 highlights the work areas around which the Dgroups Board focused its operation in 2015, the results achieved, and the operational plan for 2016.

Dgroups webinar – Maintaining and troubleshooting your online community

The third and final Dgroups Communities Webinar took place on 15 June 2015 and focused on how to maintain and troubleshoot your online community. Facilitated by Lucie Lamoureux (KM4D Associates) the webinar was designed mostly as a peer-assist session. Two participants presented two case studies, illustrating the challenges they face in maintaining their communities of practice (CoPs).
